QUARANTINE Day

no. i’ve lost count…

This is a crazy period in time. Crazy. So much happening and not happening, and the more the days pass, the crazier it all becomes. After a morning full of Zoom calls (thankful for Zoom, and Zoom fatigue is real…), I was sitting on the couch with James, taking a short break and enjoying our morning coffee. He looks up from his phone and says, “Oh wow! Look at this!”, and shows me Vogue’s latest editorial entitled,

‘Postcards from Home: Creativity in a time of Crisis’.

For their current publication, the Editors at Vogue asked a variety of their Creatives to share images of what their daily activities currently look like - laundry, cooking, knitting, cleaning, working, experimenting with art… essentially everything that you and I are probably doing. The editorial is clever, and it features Vogue Creatives (Annie Leibovitz, Florence Pugh, Marc Jacobs, etc.) in their homes, solidifying the truth that all of us are sharing in this crazy time together; getting accustomed to the rhythm of this new normal. It’s eye opening, and oddly refreshing.

Anyway, with this inspiration, James and I lovingly decided to steal Vogue’s idea and create our own photo narrative. Without cleaning or organizing anything in our apartment, we busted out a backdrop, set up some lights, and went to town.

The verdict is in: We’ve gone a bit mad. We’re safe. But obviously a little crazy.
